sleep

It’s the middle of winter and bed is where I want to be! waking up and getting up is hard!

We spend a third of our lives asleep. Sleep is the single most important thing we all do each and every day; and getting enough sleep is SO important for us all. To be totally honest I love to sleep! I mean I need that beauty sleep!

IKEA is on a mission to help Australian’s get the sleep they deserve. (YAY)  They know that having a good night sleep is about ensuring you have the bedroom set up; including everything from the right mattress, pillow, lighting and bedding

I like to sleep well at night also knowing about that i’m sleeping on quality materials, I’m always a fan of natural materials on the bed all year around (its just in winter when I like to pile on the layers) did you know all of  IKEAs cotton is sourced sustainably?

Sleep well and be inspired to make a bedroom for a great nights sleep

Christmas table Country Road style

Im so trilled ton share these images I created for this Christmas… simple, natural, creative and distinctly my style.

“When decorating my home for Christmas I always like to stay true to my own style. Living in Byron Bay, I am a nature lover and inspired by both the Australian bush and ocean. My style for decorating and entertaining is relaxed and laid-back but always creative. The colour palette includes neutrals, deep greens and metallic gold accents. Banksia are my favourite native flower and perfect for an Australian Christmas. They look great on the table, in a vase or decorating a wreath. I love to mix old with new, I’m a collector but more and more it’s about the edit, often not adding but subtracting.”

“I like the table to be relaxed and not over styled. I start with a table cloth and smart napery then layer different pieces for interest. In this case I’ve opted for gold cutlery for a festive feel and used native foliage as a centrepiece. I love to make each place setting unique by mixing decorations with natural elements such as leaves and flowers.”
